The Liverpool Giants have been a tradition since 2012. However, 2018 will display the last of the Giant trilogy and will mark the end of this spectacular show, which means unfortunately, I will be missing out on the last showcase of the Giants.
From the puppet show to the debut of the Little Boy Giant, these are a few moments I will be missing out on this year. Liverpool never ceases to amaze the thousands of people that watch the show every time, guaranteeing everyone a memorable experience.
The last year of the Giants has been viewed from people not just on the streets of Liverpool, but also those across the UK and myself here in Canada. The breath-taking images and videos from the Giants so far, can only leave me to imagine how surreal the experience must be. Many will be sad that the giants are retiring this year, as 2018 is the farewell performance of the giants which were seen from the ‘Sea Odyssey spectacular’ in 2012 and ‘Memories of 1914’ in 2014.
The trilogy show of the Giants has definitely proved that Liverpool deserves the title of the European Capital of Culture after being named in 2008.
The ten year anniversary for Liverpool has bought thousands of people to celebrate the city and the hard work by the Royal de Luxe, with the numerous men and women who have helped make the Giants possible.
For those who were able to go and see the Giants this year, I hope you made some magical moments!
